Volunteers at public events represent Warhorse Legacy Foundation by setting up and staffing informational booths, engaging with the public, and sharing who WLF is and the impact of its mission. They attend community events on behalf of the organization, confidently communicating our programs and purpose while inspiring others through personal stories and real examples of how Warhorse Legacy Foundation has supported veterans and their families.

Volunteers at the Warhorse Legacy Foundation Ranch play a vital role in caring for the land and horses that support our mission. Duties include maintaining hiking trails, keeping stables clean and organized, assisting with basic horse care, and helping with general ranch beautification to ensure a safe, welcoming, and peaceful environment for veterans and their families.

The Whole Health Program at Warhorse Legacy Foundation is an eight-week experience designed to support veterans through equine-assisted activities and holistic wellness practices. Participants learn horsemanship skills—from haltering and grooming to leading—while discovering how horses mirror human energy and emotion, fostering self-awareness and confidence. Beyond the arena, the program integrates creative expression through painting, stress management techniques including yoga and journaling, and education on nutrition and whole health. Delivered in partnership with the VA, this transformative program creates a supportive community where veterans build connection, find healing, and develop renewed purpose through the unique wisdom and honesty of horses.
